The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS)

About CHPS

The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) is a national organization dedicated to the sustainable development and operation of K-12 educational facilities. The CHPS criteria and rating

system provides a framework to maximize the health and performance of the students and staff; optimize water, energy, and resource efficiency; and reduce waste products and pollution. With an increasing number of states instituting requirements for high performance schools, the national US-CHPS Criteria rating system offers best practices which utilize nationally recognized guidelines including ANSI/ASHRAE, CDHP, and ASTM standards in an effort to improve human health and operational performance. ASSA ABLOY works directly with our customers to meet CHPS criteria, providing clear and concise documentation illustrating our respective contributions.
