ASSA ABLOY Introduces Next Generation IN100 Aperio® Wireless Lock at ISC West 2016

Available from ASSA ABLOY Group Brands Corbin Russwin and Sargent

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, April 6, 2016 — At ISC West 2016, ASSA ABLOY today introduced the IN100 Aperio® wireless lock from ASSA ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russwin and Sargent. The next generation IN100 offers the convenience and flexibility of ASSA ABLOY’s award-winning Aperio wireless technology with the real-time communication of online access control.

Ideal for facilities such as schools or corporate office buildings, the IN100 is designed with ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 hardware and is available in cylindrical or mortise lock or exit device configurations. The IN100 uses Aperio wireless technology to allow facilities to leverage existing security infrastructure to easily expand access control coverage more quickly and affordably.

With its unique combination of wireless technology and real-time communication of online access control, the IN100 enables remote lock/unlock in less than 10 seconds. The lock also features HID® multiCLASS SE® technology that provides simultaneous support for multiple credential types and allows facilities to use existing credentials or easily migrate to new ones. A patent-pending credential cache is also available to ensure access when the lock is offline from the electronic access control system.

The lock is compatible with a broad range of industry leading access control systems to ensure easy integration with existing systems. It features Wiegand, RS-485, or Ethernet communications to ensure upgrading is quick, easy and affordable.

“Many environments can greatly benefit from the real-time management capabilities that come with online access control, but are limited due to budget and infrastructure restrictions,” said Peter Boriskin, Vice President of Commercial Product Management, ASSA ABLOY Access and Egress Hardware Group. “The IN100 leverages our Aperio technology to provide higher levels of security in areas where it isn’t possible or cost-effective to hardwire an opening."

The IN100 is available with a black or white reader and is offered in a broad range of finishes and levers. It also suites with the IN Series of access control locks, allowing facilities to have a consistent aesthetic throughout the building regardless of technology.
